Their first encounter was brutal, with the Goblin attacking Peter during a charity event. The two clashed in a fierce battle across the New York skyline, but Spider-Man managed to escape, though not without injury.

The Green Goblin wasn’t just another criminal; he was a personal threat. Peter learned that Norman Osborn was the father of his best friend, Harry. The revelation put Peter in a difficult position—how could he fight his best friend’s father without revealing his secret identity?

The Losses That Shape a Hero
